NorthStar Economics is experienced in preparing economic feasibility studies for a variety of clients.  A feasibility study is a combination of a market study and an economic analysis that provides potential investors with knowledge of both the environment where a project exists and the expected return on the investment to be derived from the project.

NorthStar has particular expertise in preparing feasibility studies for small business and research incubator facilities.  Recent examples include studies for incubators in Marinette, Wisconsin and Wisconsin Rapids.

Additionally, we have completed a feasibility study of a proposed health science research facility in La Crosse, Wisconsin for the La Crosse Medical Health Science Consortium, a multi-county group serving areas across three states (see below for details).

Focus on Incubators

The establishment of incubator facilities can be a key factor in fostering entrepreneurial activity, which in turn can be instrumental in strengthening the regional economy.

We can provide your organization with an analysis of all of the relevant factors, including physical space, entrepreneurism, fiscal planning, and business support services, in arriving at a conclusion with respect to the feasibility of an incubator facility in your area.

A Tri-State Regional Health Systems Research Institute

The La Crosse Medical Health Science Consortium serves an area of Western Wisconsin, Eastern Minnesota and Northern Iowa.  In conjunction with Rainey & Associates, NorthStar conducted a study to determine whether the Consortium could support the development of a self-sustaining Health Systems Research Institute to provide health and biomedical education, research and entrepreneurs.
