 NorthStar Economics has extensive experience in preparing economic impact studies, or economic contribution studies, for a variety of clients.  Economic impact studies measure the effect of a business, organization, industry or event on the local, regional, or state economy. 

We can provide economic models which illustrate the impact of higher education institutions, investment or policy change on a particular geographic region.  We have developed a model which enables us to report the economic contribution in real terms whose impact can be easily understood.  Our studies provide specific analyses and conclusions with respect to several important factors:

  • The number of jobs created, both directly and indirectly
  • The amount of state tax revenue generated
  • The overall economic impact

Senate District Breakdowns
In addition to analyzing the overall contribution of a particular organization or event, we can calculate the specific impact in your state's senate or assembly districts.  Breakdowns of this type cam be a valuable tool in appealing to the legislators in each district for funding on the basis of your economic contribution.
