Scott A. Braucht is a former consulting practice partner with the public accounting and business consulting firm of Smith & Gesteland, LLP. The firm is located in Madison, Wisconsin. Under his leadership, the firm’s consulting practice grew to develop new areas of technical expertise and significant market share. He served the firm for fifteen years. Mr. Braucht is a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin School of Business in the areas of survey marketing and organizational behavior. He has trained executives from Samsung and Hyundai corporations in entrepreneurship and small business management. In addition to his work at NorthStar Economics, Inc., he serves as the Lead Development Officer for the Urban League of Greater Madison, Inc. His time is spent organizing and facilitating capital fundraising efforts to build a new Center For Economic Development. The new facility will be located in Dane County and will focus on job training and workforce development activities for underserved populations. Mr. Braucht serves as a board member of the UW-Madison Weinert Center For Entrepreneurship. He holds an M.B.A. in marketing, management and entrepreneurship from the UW-Madison School of Business, as well as an undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He has traveled extensively throughout Central America, Europe, Asia and Africa. The primary purpose of these travels was for economic development, health care advocacy, and humanitarian aid. |
