 The first angel investing group in Wisconsin was established in 2000.  Since that time, new angel groups have formed each year.  There are currently seventeen active angel groups operating in Wisconsin:

April 2008:

SEI's first investment is Ven-T Boats, a boat builder based in Allenton, Wisconsin.  Ven-T Boats is a start-up company developing a recreational fishing boat featuring a new, patented propulsion technology.


March 2008:

 eContractorBids.com, a service that allows business and government entities to solicit bids from local contractors, including pricing, materials, and product design, has secured $200,000 in angel capital from Origin Investment Group.

Badger AgVest, LLC is a membership organization formed by Wisconsin farmers and agribusinesses to better identify and support businesses that may add value to agricultural commodities and industries and that might spur rural economic development. 
BADGER ALUMNI
CAPITAL NETWORK		 Badger Alumni Capital Network (BACN), a 30-member investment group, was formed to provide leadership, introductions and capital to the companies it partners with, with a focus on new business ventures based in the Madison, Wisconsin area.  For more information, contact Phil Matthews.
CENTRAL WISCONSIN BUSINESS ANGELS Central Wisconsin Business Angels, LLC was formed to assist in equity financing of business start-ups and expansions that produce a product or service that is exported beyond the Central Wisconsin area.  For more information, contact Connie Loden at (715) 423-1830.

DaneVest Tech Fund I, LP makes equity investments in Portfolio Companies - primarily privately held early stage growth businesses, and businesses with special technology and other advantages in the information technology, life sciences, and consumer goods/services industries - primarily in Wisconsin and the Midwest.  For more information, contact Managing Director Joe Hildebrandt at (608) 661-1000.

IQ CORRIDOR
ANGEL NETWORK		 IQ Corridor Angel Network will focus on making investments that would lead to the development of high-wage jobs in the Waukesha, Wisconsin area.  Contact Bill Mitchell, executive director of the Waukesha County Economic Development Corporation, at (262) 695-7900 for more information.
Marshfield Investment Partners, LLC is a formal group of accredited angel investors who are interested in taking equity commitments in early-stage, high growth potential companies in the greater Marshfield region and throughout Wisconsin. 
NEW Capital Fund, LP is a private equity limited partnership with nearly $10 million of committed capital. The NEW Capital Fund has 75 investors, most of whom live and work in the New North region. In the next five years, the fund will focus on investing in 10 to 12 early-stage companies located in and around the New North that have the potential for rapid growth and can be certified as qualified businesses under Wisconsin’s Act 255.
